FAQ
What's a .wastickers file?▾
It's the official WhatsApp sticker pack archive — a zip with the manifest, all stickers, and the tray icon. The Sticker Maker app on iOS / Android imports them in one tap.
Why not direct upload to WhatsApp?▾
WhatsApp doesn't expose a public sticker upload API the way Telegram does. The .wastickers format is the only sanctioned import path, and Sticker Maker is the most-installed companion app for it.
Can I make animated WhatsApp stickers?▾
Yes. SticKit packs animated WebP under WhatsApp's 500 KB / 8 fps spec. Open the .wastickers in Sticker Maker and the animated frames play in chat.
Will it work on iPhone and Android?▾
Both. Sticker Maker is identical on both platforms; the .wastickers format is platform-agnostic.
Is there a sticker count limit?▾
WhatsApp packs hold 3 to 30 stickers. SticKit enforces both limits — you can't ship a pack with fewer than 3 or more than 30.
